⭐⭐⭐⭐ Tried the Magoo’s Chicken Wrap — it was good, though the chicken was a bit chewy. The meal doesn’t include fries or a drink by default, but the lemonade was excellent! The restaurant was clean, and the customer service was outstanding. Overall, a nice experience — I’ll definitely come back to try the chicken salad next time.

After much anticipation I was able to visit the Huey Magoo's on Harper Franklin Ave. The restaurant is located in the brand new Kroger shopping area. The parking lot is accessible from two different entrances with ample spaces available and is well lit at night. I opted to come at lunch and again at dinner to truly gauge both time frames and the service. I must say that both times the service was phenomenal and the food was amazing. 10 out of 10 would recommend! Immediately upon entering the establishment, I observed the windows: clean and streak-free, the floors were clean and tables were actively being wiped down and bussed after each patron. The employees were clean, dressed in uniforms, polite and took orders quickly and with impeccable accurately. The menu is very well priced and very competitive for the area. The bathrooms were clean and you could tell that the employees cleaned them regularly throughout the busy day. The drink station was clean and sanitized (there are sanitary stations scattered around the restaurant for quick clean ups of tables and areas - definitely an A+ in the clean department.) For the lunch order, we arrived at 11:45. We ordered the Tuesday/Thursday meal deal - Four Tenders (Grilled or Fried), Fries, Buttered Toast and A Drink For 10.99, The Magoo's favorite Salad, and a Cookie. We had Homemade Ranch and Honey Mustard Sauce for the tenders and Raspberry Vinaigrette with the salad. Our food was delivered to us in roughly ten minutes and was accurate to what we ordered. The restaurant was extremely busy but the staff consistently checked on patrons to ensure communication regarding orders and wait times. The tenders were juicy and flavorful. The bread was buttered, then grilled with a sprinkling of sesame seeds on the crust. The chicken batter was hand breaded, seasoned well and adhered to the tender. You could tell that the tenders were fresh and seasoned in brine. The fries were immaculate and made in house as was the ranch dressing. The salad was fresh and crisp. I chose the grilled tender option for the salad and the chicken was moist and paired well with the greens and dressing. The cookies come in three flavors (peanut butter, sugar, and chocolate chip), I opted for the chocolate chip. The cookie was moist and exactly what one would expect in a chocolate chip cookie. No complaints. For dinner I arrived on Friday night at 7:45. Again they were busy and taking orders quickly and efficiently. I chose to try the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich with fries, a side of Fresh Cut Chips, Grilled Chicken Tenders, Toast and an order of banana pudding. I also decided to order a take out portion of the Magoo's Sandwich with extra pickles. Again the breaded chicken tenders were fresh and well seasoned. The buffalo sauce was well-balanced and added a fresh kick to the original tender flavor. A subtle drizzle of Magoo's sauce was an added delight to the flavor profile. The fries were once again fresh and seasoned, hot and crispy. The grilled chicken tender meal was exactly what I expected from my previous tasting from the lunch salad. The fresh cut chips were light and surprisingly good. I would definitely order them again as a side. My favorite part of dinner was the banana pudding. I was able to a secure a serving before they ran out for the night (everyone LOVED it.) The pudding was light and creamy. The sweetness was just enough to incite your taste buds without leaving that cloyingly overt sweetness that can quickly ruin a good dessert. The bananas were ripe, yet firm and were delicately balanced with a crispy cookie layer. During my dining experiences, I was pleased to meet the owner Jeremy, along with his son Issac, General Managers Sky and Chandler, and Manager Sylvester. All of them were a joy to meet. Everyone, management and workers alike, wanted every patron to have a wonderful dining experience. Sylvester seems to have a wonderful way with customers and staff, keeping everyone upbeat and smiling while ensuring the restaurant runs smoothly. I highly recommend Huey Magoo's!

Huey Magoo’s Augusta: Top-Tier Chicken, Classic Coke, and Southern Hospitality I just tried Huey Magoo’s for the first time, and I can see why they claim to serve the top 3% of chicken. The tenders were incredibly tender and juicy — absolutely no “chicken scaries,” as my wife calls it. You can really taste the difference in quality; it’s the filet mignon of chicken. The seasoning leans toward pepper rather than salt, especially in the sauce, which sets it apart from my other favorite chicken spots (let’s call them Z’s and RC’s). On our first visit, we ordered the tender meals and added one buffalo-sauced tender — all were excellent. We also tried the chips. They were okay — thinner than Z’s, lightly seasoned, almost overcooked in spots. Still tasty enough that I ate every last one, but I’d call Z’s chips the winner. The fries, on the other hand, were crispy, well-cooked, and lightly salted. Not heavy-handed with the seasoning, which may actually make them a healthier choice. The surprise highlight was the banana pudding. The cashier suggested it, and I’m glad they did — it tasted homemade and was the perfect sweet finish. The staff at this Augusta location was fantastic — kind, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu. Big bonus: they serve the classic Coca-Cola fountain (not the Freestyle machines you see everywhere). The difference is real — the Coke just hits WAY better from the original fountain. They also offer a custom Electric Blue lemonade and a regular lemonade, both of which seemed very popular when I visited. One thing to note: drinks are not included with the meals, and run about $3 each. That makes the final price point a bit higher than Z’s. Still, I didn’t mind paying more because the quality really stood out — the meal felt worth it. Overall, Huey Magoo’s lived up to the hype. High-quality chicken with a pepper-forward twist, great staff, classic fountain Coke, and a dessert worth saving room for. We’ll definitely be back.

I went to Huey Magoo’s yesterday and I got the seven strip meal so my first impression was they remind me of Raising Cane with better chicken strips. (Nice size strips) My food was fresh. I got my food fairly fast even though they were a little busy I got honey mustard , and magoos sauce for my dipping sauce. My personal opinion I don’t care for the Magoo sauce. It’s mayo based so it might be good on a sandwich but not as a dipping sauce. They have great honey mustard it tastes homemade. I highly recommend you go and try them for yourself. I definitely will be going back nice to have something new in our area

I got that tender deal. Tuesdays and Thursdays only. Combo comes with 4 chicken tenders, side and toast with a drink. That desert pear lemonade is out of sight. You get to choose hand breaded, grilled or sauced chicken, a side and a sauce flavor. I got hand breaded with sweet Heat sauce. The crispy crunchy fresh hot and delicious fries were seasoned perfectly. The competent well trained cashier told me that deal while at the register ordering and I love her for that.

This location just recently opened in our area, so we decided to give it a try — and were pleasantly surprised to see they had a drive-thru. The menu was easy to read, and the person who took our order was friendly and got everything right. There was a bit of a wait, but it was rainy and, being new, they’re likely still getting into their groove, so it wasn’t an issue for us. When we got our food, it was hot and fresh. The tenders were flavorful, the fries were seasoned well, and we really enjoyed the butter bread. It reminded me of Raising Canes. I also tried their pear lemonade for the first time — sweet, refreshing, and just the way I like my lemonade. We didn’t go inside because of the weather, but overall, they’re off to a great start in our book. We’ll definitely be back.

It’s always a good sign when the food looks just like the pictures. I love that they had grilled options because I don’t like eating fried food all the time. The grilled Buffalo chicken salad was very delicious. The chicken was cooked all the way through but it was a tad rubbery. Other than that, the inside is clean with a modern industrial chic aura. There are a few booths and high tops with plugs next to them so you can charge your phone or catch up on work. Definitely will be back
